'CC' the clinic cat.

CC has been the Office Manager at Brighton Vets for the last 12 years and is the longest serving member of our staff. She takes her position very seriously. Her duties include greeting our clients in the car park, security at night and head paper weight.

Our Philosophy

All the staff at The Brighton Veterinary Surgery strive to provide a very high standard of care for all our patients and a friendly, welcoming environment for their human companions.

Those of you who already know us at the Brighton Veterinary Surgery, will be familiar with the friendly, family environment that we work to maintain.

It is our aim to treat every patient with the same level of care that we would extend to our own pets and to make available to them, through careful consultation and diagnosis, the very high standard of veterinary medicine that our clients expect.

We welcome all manner of pets to our practice. From cute and cuddly pocket pets to the most treasured cats or dogs, all pets are treated as our first priority

We look forward to seeing you and your pet soon.

They remain constantly committed to the Brighton Veterinary Surgery philosophy, YOUR PET – OUR PRIORITY. Each patient, regardless of species is always treated as if he or she were a family member.

 Feline fundamentals

To recognise the importance of our feline patients and their people, Senior Veterinary Nurse, Jodi Macdonald, has developed FELINE FUN-DAMENTALS. This is a course predominantly for cat owners (as cats already know it all).  This new service is open to owners of cats of all ages. It is designed to help the devoted cat owner better understand how that elegant, independent and mysterious feline thinks. With a strong emphasis on behaviour, this course also targets health issues specific to felines and combats common problems such as spraying and scratching furniture.

Canine Behaviour Type Indexing is a great way to get to know and enjoy your dog. This new and inovative way of approaching dog training and management allows us to understand each dog as an individual and tailor our expectations and training methods to suit the dog.  By completing a questionaire on your dog's behalf, you will gain access to your dog's psychological profile. This will help you understand your dog's energy level, social positioning and environmental attitudes. With this new found insight into how your dog thinks, you will be able to harness his or her natural tendencies to train simply and kindly. Behavioural problems like barking or not coming back when called can be a thing of the past. Why not speak to one of our trained nurse councellors today

Puppy preschool is still going strong, giving new puppy owners access to all the right information and training needed to raise a great family dog. Senior veterinary nurse and certified Canine behaviour type index counselor, Natalie Roberts, prides herself on this exceptional service that has produced many wonderful canine citizens over many years.
